The masthead is on the left and vertical, this is the house style they have as a company as on all of the most recent magazines have the masthead in the same place. The typography is bold and readable even though the model is slightly in front of it. The yellow colour of the font stands out from the grey of the suit and the blue colour of the water. The fonts that are used on this cover are very modern and simple but its very uniformed making it appealing to the eye.
On this magazine they have 3 cover lines. The cover lines are main articles are featured articles that will catch the readers attention and hopefully would make them want to read the magazine. The three cover lines are ' Terror in Manchester', 'Niall dives in' and 'Remembering Chris Cornell'. These are the headings and they are placed on the right hand side being spaced out in the two corners and in the middle of the page. These headings are also bold and will draw attention. Underneath the first cover line there is a block of yellow which is the same as the typography and there is also a block above the last cover line, these help the colours even out.
The image that is used of Naill Horan, he is a famous artist and was in the band One Direction. In this picture he is looking directly at the camera which is engaging to the the reader. He is also in a sitting position which is like he would be listening to someone or in a conversation which is inviting and he has a slight smile which would also attract the reader. His suit colour also evens out the color distribution, as its a neutral colour, and makes sure there inst too many colours that clash.
Under the masthead it has the date and billboards web address. The colour scheme is bright and the issues release on the magazine is for June, the bright colours correspond with the season, with it being summer and the colours and gender neutral. The site is also a main priority as it helps sells the magazine.
